Catch Up On...Alzheimers Disease
Unfortuniately, there seems to be no cure for this
disease, largely because no one really is quite sure of the cause.
Some research has discovered that free radicals play a great role in this
problem.
Good nutrition can effectively prevent and fight
free radical damage.
Stress seems to be a significent factor with the
development of this disease.
Elderly people as a group take several medications at the same time, and rhese combinations often
result in memory loss, confusion or some times dementia side effects.
Cortisol, in a prolonged elevated level can be a strong and diplitating
stress factor on alzheimers.
Many folks believe they have alzheimer's and they are actually suffering from
stress related depression.
Help slow down the diesease through natural therapies.
Eat wholesome foods, especially unprocessed foods. Conventially grown foods
most often contain toxins.
A three day juice fast once a month will flush toxins out of yor body. Use a
wide variety of juices so you get the nutrition you need.
Surprising that many foods contain aluminum, especially baked goods. Don't
use self-rising flour, also choose nonaluminum baking powder. You will need to avoid foods cooked in aluminum
pots and pans, beverages that come in aluminum cans should be avoided.
Lymphatic massage detoxifies the whole body and improves circulation to the
brain.
Reflexology encourages blood circulation by the lymph system which aids blood flow
in the brain.
Walking aids the whole body and doing mental exercies, such as Scrabble, Crossword puzzles
and frequent reading are all beneficial in slowing or curtailling alzheimer's.

P.S. There are reports that some researchers in Germany have given an
alpha-lipoic acid to Alzheimer's patients for almost a year and their testing
revealed a stabilized condition. This supplement is readily available and no side effects
reported.
